The true answer is, It depends!. The scope of a kitchen remodeling dictates how long the project will take. For example, if you are doing structural work like removing an interior wall or pushing out a back wall to open up the kitchen, the actual construction will obviously take quite a bit longer. If you are having custom cabinetry designed and built, you need to factor in the time to agree on a design and kitchen layout not to mention the time to construct them.  Always ask for a project schedule from your contractor.  Any reputable contractor will be happy to provide a schedule and meet the specified deadlines.
